Welcome back!

I took a hiatus from writing any blog posts, though I have many old drafts floating around unpublished. My last post followed Halloween 2016 believe it or not! I can believe it – I’m the girl who has started many blogs and followed through on few. We moved to Texas and I’ve gone through a transformation of sorts so here we go again!

I’m back with a fire and eager to share a bit of a rebranding!

Let me quickly catch you up on life in bullet points!

  • December 2016 – We flew the family out to Texas to see if it might be a good fit for us to put down roots for our family. The last day of the week long visit, we were sold.
  • December 2016 – I started a business that would change my life. No, I’m not monetarily rich yet, but we’re comfortable and so very rich in life.
  • March 2017 – The move to Texas happened. We drove across 3 state lines, for a total of 22 hours if driven straight through, but let’s be real, we had two kids and a whole lot of stuff in tow!
  • 03.09.2017 – We celebrated our 5 year anniversary in our new place, surrounded by moving boxes. I always envisioned that we’d be celebrating our 5th wedding anniversary with family and friends surrounding us at a vow renewal. Instead, we were in a new, strange place writing a new love story. No other man could have taken the SoCal girl out of SoCal. Cheers to 5 years and two babies.
  • Speaking of the kids – James is about to celebrate his 3rd birthday! He’ll be ecstatic because he loves to sing “happy birthday” to any candles we light and blow them out. Maya just turned 9 months old and will be 10 years old before we know it. They grow up so fast!
  • June 2016 – I launched a website LipLadyBeauty.com to pair with my growing business! Woohoo!
  • 7.11.17 – I bought an instant pot on prime day just like every other mom I know who doesn’t already have one. We have been using the heck out of that thing since it arrived!

Back to what I’m getting at, now that we’ve settled in… I have time to start, mess up, and re-do botched Pinterest projects.

Stay tuned for blurbs on life, kids, beauty, home projects, and making the Lone Star state a home.

Details for this project to follow

Hope you stick around to see what’s new!
